In this 90-minute intensive, you learn how to take your first steps towards deep & stunning backbend poses. Open up your spine & shoulders to learn classic contortion skills like cobra, bridge, needles & cheststands. Françoise will guide you through a range of exercises that help build body awareness, muscle engagement, alignment, and deep flexibility you need for reality-defying skills. This class will leave you with a more confident approach to backbends, so get ready to surprise yourself. This is a mixed-level class, and exercises will be adjusted to each student, however a flat or near flat front-split is required. It's highly recommended that students join the previous class on splits as an ideal warm-up.
